• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: "Pog" features characters who, apart from the Swamp Thing, have never appeared before in the comic and never will again, within Moore's run.^note Bartle's ghost does have a short-term supporting role in Vol. 2 Issue 96, during Doug Wheeler's run. Their story is entirely self-contained, told uniquely from their viewpoint, and has no effect on the overall plot in Moore's run. Furthermore, since "Pog" neither references nor builds on past storylines, nor foreshadows future ones, it's the only issue during Moore's stint that doesn't take place at any specific point in the timeline.
