YMMV / Super Hero Generation

  • Awesome Music: The opening theme, "Jumpin' to the space" by Psychic Lover, is the perfect upbeat song to rally the heroes up for battle.
  • It's the Same, Now It Sucks!:
    • One thing generally seen as a negative towards the game is how all of the Leitmotifs for the recruitable Gundams (barring Nu Gundam's) are reused from the SD Gundam G Generation (specifically World and Overworld). Incidentally, a couple of choices don't make sense: using the AGE-1 theme for AGE-2, and having Freedom, Justice and 00 Raiser fight to "Kira, Sono Kokoro no Mama ni" and "Final Mission~Quantum Burst" when Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny and Gundam 00: A Wakening of the Trailblazer are otherwise not even in the game.
    • A similar issue arises, though to a lesser extent, with the voice clips for the Gundams. Though the game provides a handful of new voice lines - especially for Gundam AGE Season 2 and Gundam Unicorn episodes 5 and 6's material, most of the voice recordings included here are lifted directly from the previous 4 to 5 SD Gundam G Generation games in this same style and engine (7 if you include the Mobile games). Furthermore, this brings in and exacerbates an issue from said G-Gen games: Those lines were recorded and implemented for shorter animations and specific events, and thus tend to not only be repeated more frequently (some times within the same attack animation) but also sound disjointed, such as when one of their Kiais during a charging-in segment is followed by a threat line and then a plead for understanding with a second or two interval between each quote.
