• Awesome Music: The series opening theme, "I'll Walk Beside You", performed by Beth Rowley. And yes, it was written specifically for the show.
  • The opening scenes of Career of Evil are scored to the song of the same name by Blue Oyster Cult. Galbraith/Rowling said outright she named the book after the song.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: While there is no downgrade in quality in acting, writing or directing, most of the fandom agree that The Cuckoo's Calling is the best adaptation, simply because being three episodes gives it more time and room to unfold, rather than the two episodes of The Silkworm and Career of Evil. This might be one of the reasons (besides it being the longest book of the series) that Lethal White will be four episodes.
