• Applicability: The story can easily be applied to being about Values Dissonance, with the new Lapises confused and appalled at why something they've always done is suddenly considered bad.
• Refrain from Assuming: The song in this episode is not "Why so Blue?", like the episode title and first line of the refrain, it's "Shining Through".
• Ships That Pass in the Night: Even before the episode aired, fans were shipping the two new Lapises with Jasper. They never meet in series but after the episode, numerous fans paired Jasper with either the Nice Lapis (both learning to be better people) the Mean Lapis (either a Villain Team-Up or also both learning to be better people), or both. The prospect of a new Malachite is a big draw.
