- Unexpected Character: Most people certainly weren't expecting that every single Crystal Gem fusion (minus the ones that involve Steven) would appear in this episode. Especially Sugilite, who hadn't been formed since the season two episode "Cry For Help", which aired four and a half years before this episode.
