• Angst? What Angst?: As Caroline Siede pointed out in her review of the episode, most of the characters and the school culture in general seem to be coping with Joey's death a little too well. However, later episodes may mitigate this by showing that he is remembered and missed.
• Harsher in Hindsight: In retrospect, the scene in the pilot episode where Henry Jr. taunts Yolanda over her nude photos is even worse after this episode reveals that he's her ex-boyfriend and was the one who encouraged her to send them in the first place, and shared them with his friends.
• The Unreveal: Although Pat finds the Zaricks' black cat, their battered car, and Joey's magician's hat in the pick-and-pull lot, Denise's fate (presumably deceased) has yet to be revealed, nor the cause of it. The next episode's Make It Look Like an Accident which the ISA employed against Hourman and his wife, combined with the huge dent in the Zaricks' car doors, implies the same strategy—and the same culprit, Solomon Grundy—but this has not been confirmed.
