- Unexpected Character: While the author has shown a willingness to bring characters from the Halo side of a crossover Back from the Dead in their other story, ARES:The Gods of War, and some rather minor ones at that (for example, Mendoza), it's still a suprise that the first familiar face that John and Cortana meet in this story is Foehammer.
