• Fridge Horror: The Moopsy, despite being adorable, is probably one of the most horrifying alien creatures to ever appear on Star Trek. Assuming it evolved naturally, just what kind of hellhole Death World did it come from? Even worse if the Moopsy isn't the apex predator on its homeworld...
• Moral Event Horizon: The displayed humans cross it by knowingly unleashing a Killer Rabbit onto the station in the hopes that it'll kill Narj and they'll be able to take over the menagerie. In addition to Narj, their actions get the Pyrithian swamp gobblers killed and endanger the Cerritos away team.
• The Woobie: Narj, who is unfailingly polite to the Starfleet officers and fully intends on releasing his accidentally captured humans. All he gets for his troubles is his bones (or ossified plant equivalents) sucked out by one of his own exhibits, all because said humans wanted his menagerie for themselves.
