- Creator's Pet: The writer of the episode was using Melora to vent a lot of his own frustrations, which probably explains why the character is treated so reverently despite being snappish, rude, and insubordinate. For just how fully this is in effect, take a look at the recap page and see how many other episodes of this series are outright named after a character.
- Special Effects Failure: While the make-up team was trying to push the boundaries of their typical Rubber-Forehead Aliens, it's really easy to see where Fallit's prosthetic was glued on, especially given that it's a completely different shade then the rest of his face.
- Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Melora is difficult to sympathize with despite her infirmity due to her persistent jerkassery.
