  • The community is generally divided on whether ECMs are balanced, whether Long Range Frigates are amazing ships or should be removed from the game altogether, the state of destroyers, and the alien ships as of Season 4.
  • Fans who wave played the game from the very beginning have come to decry Star Conflict as another "Pay to Win" scheme: Grinding is tedious and unbearable and the only way to progress up the tech tree to get new ships is to put in some hard currency.
• Memetic Mutation: "Capture the Bacon", typed in error during a closed beta match, accidentally spawned a meme within the community.
• Most Wonderful Sound: "Enemy ship destroyed!"
