YMMV / South Park S 2 E 13 Cow Days

• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The beginning of the episode, where married couple Tom and Mary win a trip to South Park on a game show, suggests the episode is going to play up the contrast between a normal, happy couple and the dysfunctional citizens of South Park. This is never really explored; Tom and Mary mostly just serve as the scapegoats when the Cow Memorial goes missing. Their Fish out of Water status only comes up for a few throwaway lines, and they barely get a chance to play the straight men to any of the quirky locals, meaning they could have easily been replaced by an equally-naïve South Park resident without anything changing.
