- Awesome Music: Most of the soundtrack is pretty good, especially the vaguely Irish-sounding music during the festival scene and the music during the autumn Art Club "Trip" (the OST tracks Chiisana Shiawase and Watashi no Jikan). Also as mentioned above, the last ending, Tanpopo Suisha.
- Cult Classic: Similar to most of Hal Film Maker's catalog, it's a very obscure series unless you were watching it during it's brief airing in the late 2000s, but the few who have seen or read it usually have nothing but great things to say about it. It's a particular favorite on 4chan out of all places, alongside Princess Tutu and ARIA as the most fondly remembered and beloved out of Hal's short but impressive lineup.
- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: In western fandom, Kate completely overshadows the rest of the cast in terms of popularity.
- Memetic Mutation: SOU NAN DESS KARR?
- Moe: Sora's combination of Cloud Cuckoo Lander-ness, love of taking life slowly, and voice cause this.
- Viewer Gender Confusion: Mike (pronounced mee-kay) and Haa are actually female.
