• Ass Pull: A magnificent, staggering one happens when it turns out all that was needed to save Satan, God and the entire universe was a man who knew the awful truth and still made a Heroic Sacrifice - a veritable Deus ex Machina that hadn't been even started to be foreshadowed in the entire book. While the story had somewhat hinted that Jesus might have had a chance to save the day had not dispaired at the worst possible moment, it never really explained whether and how was this even possible, or that in reality any human being in the right position had the potential to do it himself, or in that case, why did Satan wait 2,000 years before trying to manipulate events so to stage it again. The result is that, while it certainly makes for a heartwarming Surprisingly Happy Ending, it's impossible not to feel at least a bit cheated.
