• Harsher in Hindsight: Elaine's subplot has John F. Kennedy Jr. joining her aerobics class, finding out he is interested in her, and gushes over possibly becoming "Elaine Benes Kennedy Jr." Now you can't help but feel she was pretty darn lucky it didn't work out, as seven years later John-John would crash his plane, killing himself, his wife and sister-in-law.
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • Jerry mentions he's watching Tiny Toon Adventures on Nickelodeon, which wouldn't come true until years after both shows ended and were put in reruns (at the time of the episode's premiere, TTA was on FOX as part of the FOX Kids line-up).
  • The rules of "the contest" in this episode are even funnier when you realize the rules are similar to the infamous "No Nut November" memes that pop up every year, starting in the late 2010s. On top of that, "The Contest" aired in November 1992.
