YMMV / Scooby-Doo! and the Samurai Sword

• Fridge Brilliance: The evil sword that made The Black Samuari what he is? The Sword of Doom. The blade opposing it? The Sword of Fate. And what is doom's original meaning? Fate. No wonder the two are connected.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The opening of the movie put a lot of focus on Daphne's martial arts, and the overall theme revolving around where it originated, and after years of her being the resident Damsel in Distress, it would have made a great plot of Daphne having to save the gang from the real Black Samurai by wielding the Sword of Fate after all the times they had to save her over the years. Instead, Scooby and Shaggy end up questing to save the gang (Daphne included) by traveling to the Green Dragon and wield the Sword of Fate against the real Black Samurai. Yes, it's still awesome, but one can't help but feel the movie would have been better if Daphne got to cement her taking several levels in badass over the years.
