• Awesome Music: As usual, the new rendition of the opening theme from the 2019 game perfectly sets the mood for the series.
• I Knew It!:
  • Quite a few people predicted that Funimation would get the license to simulcast the series in North America and the United Kingdom.
  • Many predicted that the Moscow Combat Revue would be featured in the series. They were right.
  • Some fans correctly predicted that Show Hayami would return as the show's narrator.
  • Many also correctly deduced that White Mask would be Hakushu.
  • Some fans predicted that Cherami Leigh would voice Sakura in the English dub. They were right.
• Just Here for Godzilla: Some viewers have picked up the series because of Sanzigen's involvement as well as the returning characters from the game.
• Signature Scene:
  • In "The Curtain Rises! The New Combat Revue", the train chase in Petrograd, the Flower Division singing "Star Tanjo!" and Sakura using the "Divine Blade: Cherry Blossom Blizzard" attack towards the end of episode 1.
  • In "Identity Unknown! A Mysterious Foe Appears", the battle between the Flower Division and the Black Cape.
  • In "Tokyo Trembles! The New Moscow Combat Revue!", the Moscow Combat Revue's introduction and the battle on the Kachidoki Bridge.
  • In "The Goofball Detective Combo! Find Klara's Secret!", Claris and Azami becoming detectives to search for Klara's secrets, and Klara combining her powers with Claris to thwart a demon attack.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character:
  • Anastasia barely gets any time in the spotlight compared to the other returning Imperial Combat Revue members. Sakura and Hatsuho get an episode together, as do Claris and Azami, while Anastasia never gets A Day in the Limelight like them.
  • Xiaolong and Yui only appear on a few occasions despite being recurring characters in the game while also being stationed in Tokyo, making their absence even more bizarre.
  • Xiaolong and Arthur don't show up for the Final Battle with no explanation given even though Yui and Lancelot are there to help out the Imperial Combat Revue.
