YMMV / Sakura Dungeon

Go To

  • Adorkable:
    • Ceri puts on the attitude of a stoic knight, but it collapses as soon as things get embarrassing for her. Yomi lives for those moments.
    • Being the antisocial scholar of the group, Sylvi can also be adorably nerdy at times, particularly how she Can't Spit It Out in regards to Yomi.
  • Demonic Spider: As mentioned below, "D-Spell" is a fantastic ability… when your guys have it. Enemies that have it can quickly move to the top of a gamer's 'I hate these guys' list, Noblewoman perhaps being the worst of the lot. Between "D-Spell" and her endless array of poison attacks, she can become nearly impossible to hit.
  • Game-Breaker:
    • Any character with the "D-Spell" ability. D-Spell has a 50% chance to negate any ranged or magical attack entirely. In a game where all 3 skill types (melee, ranged and magical) are about equally present, this can quickly become a major annoyance if faced or alternatively become incredibly useful. Better yet, Yomi can learn it.
    • Poison skills are able to slow down or even completely stop several attacks from those affected by the poison (paralysis, actually). While not many monsters have it, the Noblewoman, herself a strong monster, almost exclusively has them. Oh, and she has the aforementioned D-Spell ability on top of that.
    • Often overlooked, Meditation can mediate paralysis and boost the Flow counter to max very quickly. When Yomi recommends Ceri learn how to meditate, she is giving sound advice. Since Ceri's stats grow with levels unlike everyone else, she can hit the hardest of the characters by far.
  • Spiritual Successor: This game is one to Demon Master Chris, in that it has the same art style, same battle system, very similar humor and lots of yuri.
