- Jerkass Woobie: Mitzi. He's a whiny, surly coward, but it's clear he's been pretty much broken by a combination of both Andy and his father's suicides and his failing friendship with Harry. He also gets plenty of Pet the Dog moments, and his death is horrifically and undeservedly brutal.
- The Woobie: Martin. He suffered a mental breakdown prior to the film that ruined his career and resulted in him being transferred to a desk job. Then, his brother is brutally murdered, he has his leg broken by a bear trap, and he's finally left comatose after being injured even further when Harry and Mitzi's fighting leads to him getting caught in rapids.
