YMMV / Rick and Morty S7E3 "Air Force Wong"

• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Unity is meant to be viewed as sympathetic and the one in the right between them and Rick. They came to Earth to check on Rick after finding out he's hunting Rick Prime again, just to make sure he's okay, but is unable to contact him due to him ghosting their calls and resorts to assimilating the state of Virginia to get his attention. The ending also has them make a big sacrifice by releasing millions of the people they assimilated for Rick, and the pain they went through because of his stubbornness causes them to lose their trust in him completely. However, Unity also ghosted Rick back when they broke up originally, so Rick being told doing the same to them is wrong comes off as hypocritical. There's also the moral question of taking 8 million hostages for multiple weeks to force a dialogue with someone who has made very clear that they don't want to talk which is never brought up.
