- He Panned It, Now He Sucks!: Happens quite frequently, given that this is Jello's subjective opinion and thus he allows himself to be a bit more critical than usual.
- He gets a lot of hate after bashing The Rescuers Down Under in the Disney video, saying that, while he knows it's a Cult Classic, he simply couldn't get behind it.
- He also got flak for giving Shrek 2, which is widely considered to be one of the best sequels of all time and probably one of DreamWorks' best movies, just a 6/10 and calling the first half of the movie "mediocre".
- Him calling Inside Out "mediocre" and Ratatouille "dull" didn't go over well, since both of those movies are close to universally beloved among Pixar fans. Him making fun of Bing Bong's death also got... a tepid reaction.
- When Marnie Was There being the #2 worst on the "Ghibli" video got a good number of people riled up, while he saw Anna as Wangsty and her relationship with Marnie as creepy.
- While it's not universal and even some of his fans absolutely hated it, Only Yesterday does have its fans who complain that Jello didn't "get" it, saying that there is nothing to "get" and it's simply a movie to relax to. Jello thought it was a case of True Art Is Incomprehensible, and claimed that the experience of watching it was outright painful.
