YMMV / Red vs. Blue: Family Shatters

• It's Short, So It Sucks!: There were complaints that the bite-sized five minutes end too soon, and also that longer episodes could flesh out ideas better.
• More Popular Spin-Off: While not winning over everyone, Family Shatters was more liked by fans than Zero for returning the focus to the comedy.
• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: Zero was hated in his namesake season for being an underdeveloped villain. Here he earned better responses for sticking to the hammy Card-Carrying Villain characterization.
• Tainted by the Preview: Once the show's opening was unveiled as an announcement trailer on Instagram and Twitter... just check the comments, the fandom was not happy at seeing the cast of Zero returning.
• Win Back the Crowd: Considering how badly received the trailer/opening sequence was upon release, the first episode of Family Shatters got a somewhat positive response, mostly feeling the spin-off improved on Zero by returning the focus to comedy.
