• Alternative Character Interpretation: Ganymede & Titan's DwarfCast Book Club podcast offers two alternative interpretations of Rimmer's psyche derailing the game, alongside the stated reason that Rimmer's psyche hates him - the first being that his psyche is trying to help him by making his experiences so horrible that escaping the game is preferable, the second being that Better Than Life was never intended to be played by a hologram, and his presence in the game is corrupting it from within.
