YMMV / Rastan

Go To

  • Awesome Music: The first game is regarded as one of the best of all the arcade games of the 1980s, with exciting gameplay and decent graphics for its time. But another selling point that many fans remember is the musical score that played while Rastan was fighting his way through all six levels. And some would say that the epic score that plays after Rastan has defeated the dragon is the incentive to play and finish the game. The OST only had a few songs, but they're so balls-to-the-wall awesome that it's only a minor inconvenience at best.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: The two sequels were less well received due to their various gameplay changes. Naster Warrior is disliked due to its slower gameplay, poorer animation and enemy AI, as well as greater linearity due to the removal of vertical stages. Warrior Blade meanwhile pulled off a Genre Shift and changed it into a Beat 'em Up in the vein of Golden Axe.
