YMMV / Raging Loop

Go To

  • Audience-Alienating Ending: The ending is seen as the weakest part of the game, due to a large part of it being an exposition dump that manages to be tedious in length but also not explain everythingnote  (necessitating a playthrough of Revelations Mode and the extras to fully understand the ending). Additionally, many fans felt that the answers to the mysteries didn't live up to the buildup, as the game tried to both explain seemingly supernatural happenings as mundane events while solving just as many problems through genuine supernatural methods, giving the impression that none of the answers or solutions actually mattered. As a result, while many players still considered the journey to the end worth it, it's not uncommon to find reviews warning others that the ending drops the ball.
  • Awesome Music:
  • Jerkass Woobie: Quite a few characters enter abrasive-but-pitiable territory due to the nature of being essentially trapped in a Werewolf game, but of note is Chiemi, whose sanity can be dubious at times and who's outright Ax-Crazy on a not infrequent basis. However, when you realize she's been stuck reliving the loops for years, forced to murder or be brutally murdered with no end in sight, it's very easy to see how she ended up this way and to want to free her from the Feast of the Yomi-Purge.
