** The characters' attitude towards marriage in episode 11 may raise some eyebrows, especially when Jun says that it's "a woman's dream to get married" and also Aira telling Kyoko that a wedding dress is the proof of "all accomplishments a woman made in life." A running joke in the series, in fact, is Kyoko being a ChristmasCake and emphasizes how embarrassing it is for her to be unmarried at her age. To Westerners, it comes off as sexist, but to the Japanese, since their programming is more gender-coded, it doesn't bother them as much. However, in recent years, less Japanese women are getting married and having children because they want to stay in the workforce, showing that this ideology is slowly becoming outdated.

TRS has turned Gainaxing into a definition only page. Removing examples.

* AccidentalInnuendo: Aira's version of "Heart-pounding Experience" zooms in on her chest with a shaking effect, which looks like {{Gainaxing}} if you didn't look clearly enough.

Tastes Like Diabetes is no longer a trope. Moving examples to other tropes when applicable.

* TastesLikeDiabetes: The series in general. Which leads to some MoodWhiplash during the darker moments.

* SophomoreSlump: ''Dear My Future'' critically bombed. It was created partially to launch the franchise in South Korea, but it didn't take off, even when the series debuted in South Korea. Plans to open Prism Stone and Dear Crown shops were cancelled, and Puretty ended up disbanding for failing to draw in an audience from both Japan and Korea.
* SomeAnvilsNeedToBeDropped: ''Dear My Future'' had a South Korean supporting cast because Masakazu Hishida, the director, wanted to improve [[UsefulNotes/KoreansInJapan South Korean and Japanese relationships]] and felt that he was only able to do so by creating media that put South Koreans in a positive light. Note that ''Dear My Future'' first aired when the Hallyu wave was facing decline in Japan due to the Dokdo Islands dispute.

* SophomoreSlump: ''Aurora Dream'', the first season, is well-regarded, and the third season, ''Rainbow Live'', is widely considered the best. But the season in-between, ''Dear My Future'', which is a direct sequel to ''AD'', is seen as very weak.
