• Nightmare Fuel: The Tree of Wrath; a twisted, dark tree that absorbs victims into itself, said victims' screams and cries echo within near-constantly with the serious implication that they are still at least semi-conscious and from which there is no escape. Until the finale, that is, when all the victims the Tree gathered over the years fight back. It's shown that being absorbed by it is a slow, terrifying process, a fate that nearly befalls Pretty Cure, and Hinyu is said to have spent the last third of the series feeding large quantities of Shade Kingdom civilians to it off-screen, both because they were perceived as threats and to keep the Tree at the height of its power.
• Tear Jerker: King Kagemera, confused in his elderly state and having forgotten he sacrificed his son Tsukimera to the Tree of Wrath years ago, keeps asking for him. Finally, Tsukimera appears at his father’s bedside… but it’s not Tsukimera. It’s Tamakushi, disguised as him, wanting to give King Kagemera some peace of mind before he passes. King Kagemera spends his last moments asking his son to rule the Shade Kingdom as he did, saying he knows it will be in good hands. Evil or no, it shows he did love his son in his own twisted way, and a tearful Tamakushi is happy he at least wasn’t alone in his last moments.
