Such debates have raged on in a similar vein to the "female red ranger"/"female main character" of {{Tokusatsu}} fandom. That being said, the explicitly all-male ''Dancing Star'' was well received by stage audiences, but it broke into further debates about whether or not a male Cure should only be on a male team, or only relegated to minor roles and spinoffs.
