YMMV / Prehistoric Park: Returned from Extinction

• Arc Fatigue: To some degree, this applied to The Great American Safari, which was not only four times the length of the normal chapter, but also endured several Schedule Slips.
• Funny Moments
  • In Time of the Titans, a Ceratosaurus chases a trio of Dryosaurus, only to accidentally get knocked out by a Tail Slap from Big Al, who didn't even know the ceratosaur was there.
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • In the first chapter, Sue's mate helps her back on her feet after she loses a fight against another Tyrannosaurus Rex.
  • There's an unusual one at the beginning of "Double Crested Lizard". It's revealed that many Cretaceous insects were unintentionally rescued from extinction in the first mission and have established viable breeding populations. This unsung success story not only establishes that Prehistoric Park is even more successful than it seems, but also gives hope for similar unintended rescues from other eras.
  • At the end of "Double Crested Lizard", Matilda puts her issues with Terence aside and shares a nodosaur carcass with him.
  • Taken even further in Dinosaurs from the East, where the two finally put aside their differences and make peace with one another.
  • Vera and Finn's bond is pure heartwarming. A particular moment is in "Kaibab's Hunter", where she gives him a bath. Just the image of a teenage girl bathing a giant, carnivorous dinosaur like a puppy should give anyone the warm fuzzies.
  • The scene where Terence encounters a Cosgriffius (a marine temnospondyl) trying to run into the ocean and helps it into the waves. Keep in mind that, while Terence wasn't going to eat the overgrown salamander (he thought it might be poisonous), he still had no reason to help it into the water.
  • At the end of "Last Supper", the various animals at the park receive Christmas presents.
  • In the rescue list at the end of "Last Supper", it's mentioned that a few passenger pigeons came back to the present. This gives hope that other (relatively) recently extinct species may be brought back.
• Moment of Awesome
  • The entrance of the Prehistoric Dragon in "Dinosaurs From The East" is pure awesome, mostly due to the fact that no-one was even expecting it to appear.
• Unexpected Character:
  • Not many people were expecting a Prehistoric Dragon to show up in the series, even if it was given some Foreshadowing, as it is a completely fictional creature.
  • Similar reactions were felt in regards to Big Al showing up.
  • A species example: to the surprise of everyone, the creatures rescued in The Last Supper include a flock of passenger Pigeons. While Passenger Pigeons did exist at that time, most other fanfics that rescue them do so around the early modern area or civil war.
  • The most recent surprise addition to the cast are the characters from Dinosaur Planet, specifically Little Das' Hunt, as that series has never had any fanfiction prior to this fic.
