* AlasPoorScrappy: [[spoiler:Cole learns his parents have been dead for years, not made better that the one who told him how they died is their murderer, Master Org, who was once their good friend Victor Adler, gloating about his enjoyment from murdering them.]]
** Kite/Animus may have been annoying, but [[spoiler: his death scene]] is legitimately sad, especially since it's his human form that we see die, and unlike [[spoiler: his Sentai counterpart]], we never see him come back [[spoiler: with the other Wild Zords.]]
* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: Animus can get hit with a heavy dose of this during his arc. Is he just upset that the humans who were supposed to defend the planet are destroying it instead or is he just an environmental terrorist who has the tendencies of a fascist? When Animus revealed that taking away the Rangers' powers was just a test to see how dedicated they are to protecting the Earth, did he ''really'' intend for there to be a test, or did he just say that to avoid getting called out by the Rangers?
* {{Anvilicious}}: The Animus Arc. The series, despite the whole "Orgs were awakened from pollution" part, played the environmental message a bit subtle until this arc. This arc, in particular the last two episodes, lack subtlety with [[spoiler:Animus declaring humans should be left to die because they don't treat the Earth with respect]].
* CrossoverShip: Taylor/Eric, when the Time Force Rangers are in town.
** ShipTease: It also implies that Lucas and Nadira got back together.
* EarWorm:
** The Wild Force theme song.
** The song Shayla sings to the Deer Zord.
* EnsembleDarkhorse: Zen-Aku.
** Not coincidentally, Merrick (Outside of his acting) is one of the most popular {{Sixth Ranger}}s since [[Series/MightyMorphinPowerRangers Tommy]]. Must be the general [[BadAss Badassitude]] and [[BadassBeard goatee]].
** Jindrax and Toxica, due to being actual likable villains with a believable friendship and sense of camaraderie with each other, and they could also be genuinely funny at times.
* EpilepticTrees: Danny Delgado has the same last name as the [[Series/PowerRangersSPD SPD]] Yellow Ranger, Z. Since ''SPD'' takes place TwentyMinutesIntoTheFuture and Z's parents were canonically scientists involved in creating Ranger powers, people think Z might be Danny's daughter.
** Also, Venjix shares the same name as [[Series/PowerRangersRPM the virus that destroyed 99.9% of the world]], thus launching trees discussing whether or not the two are the same.
* EvilIsCool: Zen-Aku. Fans [[EnsembleDarkhorse adore him]], so much that he was brought back for another episode and again at the end of the series as a being separate from Merrick... [[FridgeLogic somehow]].
* FoeYay:
** Zen-Aku and Merrick.
** Cole and Master Org.
* HarsherInHindsight: It was awesome to see the Rangers using a sword as their main weapon, but seeing how Rick Medina was arrested for killing a man with a sword is not cool. It was allegedly in self defense, but...
* HilariousInHindsight: This won't be the last time we would see [[Series/TensouSentaiGoseiger an environmentally conscious mecha]].
** For "Forever Red", Disney and Bandai nixed the original ending of all the Red Rangers' zords destroying Serpentera because they didn't want to show "old toys". Not only did Toei have no problem with doing exactly that with Forever Red's closest counterpart (Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai), they did a second time for Gokaiger's 199 Heroes movie.
** Cole is considered one of the most hated rangers ever. His actor would go on to play Deker, a fan favorite villain in ''Samurai'', who has a major rivalry with that season's red ranger.
* ItsTheSameSoItSucks: As mentioned above, the show was largely criticized for being too similar to ''Gaoranger''.
* MagnificentBastard: Onikage.
* {{Misblamed}}: People have noted that a lot of ''Wild Force'''s problems are actually coming from a direct translation of ''Gaoranger'', such as the blunt GreenAesop.
* MoralEventHorizon:
** Master Org decides to show how irredeemable when he tells Cole that [[spoiler:he killed his parents, and that he enjoyed doing so]].
** Mandilok crossed it for [[spoiler:using a dying Toxica as a shield from the Rangers' Jungle Cannon]].
* NightmareFuel:
** How [[spoiler:Cole's parents died. The newly formed Master Org unleashed vines that ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice.]]
* ReplacementScrappy: During the six episodes between Unfinished Business and Forever Red, Mandilok takes over as the BigBad. Compared to Master Org, Mandilok is basically a flat character whose only goal is to just eat.
* TheScrappy:
** Cole, the RookieRedRanger who stole the team from Taylor, and became instantly the leader for no reason. He would constantly talk about how he could read a being's "heart," which didn't help the fact that many fans think ''Wild Force'' was too preachy.
** Also, Princess Shayla, who is basically a really useless Princess who sings.
** Kite. A whiny little brat who completely disparages the Rangers' efforts and sacrifices, rants on and on about how humans are bastards, is perfectly willing to abandon them and Shayla to die, hammers in the GreenAesop in the most annoying, tedious and {{Anvilicious}} way possible, is of little help when actually needed, and [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking and has an annoying, whiny voice]].
*** Doesn't help that he was Animus (which makes him a scrappy by proxy), who because of his hatred for humanity who even after revealing that him taking the Zords and the rangers' powers away, and him putting Shayla in a coma was a SecretTestOfCharacter, still didn't take back any of the things he said about humanity.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: Nope, this award doesn't go out to Cole, but to several others like...
** Taylor, who is arguably well-rounded and showed a full range of emotions in addition to ass-kicking. It also helps that actress Alyson Kiperman was very experienced in acting.
** Jason and Tommy in "Forever Red". Also, Carter continuing his badassery in that same episode. Hell, might as well just say all the veteran Red Rangers in that episode.
** And before that, the return of the Time Force Rangers.
* ToughActToFollow: Got a lot of this, having to follow fan favorite ''Time Force''.
** Conversely, it's two team ups "Reinforcements from the Future" and "Forever Red" are both so well regarded that later team ups and anniversary specials are compared to them, with the mentioned two being favored over.
* VindicatedByHistory: Much like ''Turbo'' previously, Wild Force has become steadily more popular as the years go on (helped by [[WebVideo/HistoryOfPowerRangers Linkara]] saying how he thought it was a good season), especially since we now have [[Series/PowerRangersOperationOverdrive three]] [[Series/PowerRangersSamurai other]] [[Series/PowerRangersMegaforce seasons]] that fans like to bash on.
* VillainDecay: Remember that HUGE planet-destroying serpent robot that completely dwarfed the other zords and couldn't be fought, only ran away from? Yeah well, now it's about 1/5 of its size, and can be defeated by 1 guy on a flying motorbike. And its planet-destroying laser won't even kill the guy flying inside its mouth. Though to be perfectly fair, this was due to ExecutiveMeddling forcing them to axe a far more impressive Serpentera fight (Which would have had the Red Rangers charge Serpentera all in their own Zords).
