• Hilarious in Hindsight: Super Power Beat Down had an episode where Green Ranger Tommy fought against Ryu. Now Ryu is a Ranger in this game, and one promotional art has him teaming up with, who else, Tommy the Green Ranger.
  • Similarly, two very popular mods for Street Fighter V turn Ryu into Tommy's White Ranger form and M. Bison as Tommy's Green Ranger form. And as stated above, both Ryu and Tommy work together in this promotional art, with the added bonus of them both fighting M. Bison and Tommy being in his Green Ranger form.
• Unexpected Character: Between the great variety of characters and the large number of seasons that Power Rangers has, no one expected Street Fighter characters to be included in the game.
  • The 2020 Halloween event adds another left-field choice: Pumpkin Rapper, a Monster of the Week with only two major appearances under his belt.
  • The April 2022 event goes one better... Bulk and Skull, complete with an Actor Allusion Mythology Gag of Bulk's Ranger form being listed as an alternate skin for Jack Thomas. The original comic relief duo are back.
