• Best Known for the Fanservice: The film is one of the films (along with Embrace of the Vampire) best known for Alyssa Milano going topless and having sex scenes in them as an attempt to shed away her child actress image.
• Nightmare Fuel:
  • Donald attempting to rape Lily.
  • Donald breaking into Lily's room to try to be with her.
• Squick: The close-up shot of Lily piercing her belly button, up to including showing it drawing blood.
• Tear Jerker:
  • Daphna walking in on her father Donald attempting to rape Lily and running away while her parents call after her.
  • Daphna being hit by a car. She survives but it's quite sad.
  • Lily returning home after nearly being raped by Donald and Daphna almost being killed by a hit and run driver.
  • Lily, traumatized by what happened that night, returns home and destroys everything in her room that has to do with Ivy.
• The Woobie: Lily. She tries to become a different person but it almost costs her her live and another family's lives. She almost gets raped by her teacher, then inadvertently causes a child to become injured. Then she and her boyfriend and roommate are almost killed by a home-invader, also the teacher. Then she is almost dragged to her death and witnesses her teacher's death. By the end, she's willing to pack up and move back home after all the trauma she endured.
