• Contractual Purity: Alyssa Milano was in the process of trying to break out of hers, hence why she starred in the second film. Ironically it's the only film in the series where the 'Ivy' is the protagonist and not the villain.
• Creator Backlash: Alyssa Milano did the second film while she was trying to break out of her Former Child Star image. She eventually succeeded with Melrose Place and Charmed to become more famous as an adult. Years later she was interviewed about this and she responded "I hope my Poison Ivy days are behind me."
