• Scrappy Mechanic:
  • Seedlings for Roadside and Forest Pikmin are very common and useful for building up Pikmin squads early on, but their value will sharply diminish over time as players accumulate more of them and begin searching for other, more specialized Pikmin types. They are also likely to spawn in large numbers at players' homes over time and can appear in place of other seedling types when the player uses their Detector or posts a photo at the end of the day into their Lifelog.
  • Event-limited Mystery Mushrooms dwarf the presence of normal mushroom types and have extremely high point value requirements for obtaining two stars and higher; mandating a large group of players joining in with large quantities of the current event's Pikmin, something that is not common to see until the final days of the event. Using them for collecting special nectar types is an ill-advised strategy as nectar rewards from Mystery Mushrooms are both minuscule and/or can reward nectar for types of flowers not requested by the current event's missions.
