YMMV / Pat Finnerty

  • Awesome Music:
    • Pat’s sellout pop punk pastiche band, August Is Falling, may just be for a gag, but the songs are still well-written and well-performed.
    • “Dead Man’s Trail” by Tortured Agony, Pat’s parody of 2000’s butt-rock bands, is hilarious, but also legitimately goes hard.
    • WMTSS's short but catchy theme tune. There's even a guitar tab for it.
  • Heartwarming Moments:
    • The end of episode 3. Pat finally makes his peace with Weezer and grabs his old friend and fellow ex-Weezer fan Mike and head to Boston Market together, while blasting "Holiday" in the car. Pat clenches his fist in victory as they approach the Boston Market, getting to relive his youth, even if just for a little while.
    • Ramona, the baby in episode 4, is consistently adorable throughout the video.
    • Episode 4 ends with the baby giving the Dr. Dog CD to the Moose, and Dr. Dog's "Here Comes the Hotstepper" covers plays during a montage of fans around the world joining on the Stop The Train movement.
    • The two Hot Topic workers in episode 7, who help him pick out a new emo wardrobe. They're both helpful and supportive, and Pat dedicates the episode to them at the end.
    • The picture of Pat cuddling with Larry, his cat. Kim is also holding him over her shoulder when Pat tries to get her to sing his new Sunday Night Football theme.
    • Pat's genuine thank you note to his friends, family, and fans who helped him through a rough year.
