YMMV: Overman King Gainer
  • Crazy Awesome: Gauli, when he goes into Ninja mode.
  • Crowning Moment Of Awesome: Plenty (it is a Super Robot show) but Gain picking off each of Asuham's Overman's eyes in the span of about 4 seconds with consecutive shots was amazing.
  • Crowning Moment of Funny: Gainer's Love Confession. This gets even better in Super Robot Wars and Another Centurys Episode as others get drawn into the act.
  • Crowning Music of Awesome: Both the opening theme King Gainer Over! and ending theme Can You Feel My Soul?
  • Ear Worm: See Dancing Theme on the main page.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Gain and Adette.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Munt won't look so funny anymore, when you'll see him crushing a City Unit under the Crystal of Agate.
  • The Scrappy: Among the show's fandom, Asuham is often considered an uninteresting, one-note villain for his obsession with capturing Gain and his Motive Decay.
  • Strangled by the Red String: Adette and Gauli. Seriously, where did that come from?
    • It actually starts when Gauli revealed he killed Gainer's parents and was punched for it. Of course, it's mixed in with the gag where everyone says they love the guy, so...
  • That One Boss: In the Super Robot Wars episodes where it appears, the Overdevil is considered one of the toughest bosses.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Not to a huge degree, but Gain's backstory with Asuham and Karin, and the fact that he participated in a failed Exodus could have been elaborated on a little more...
    • Wasn't the whole point of his backstory with Asuham and Karin that there wasn't really one?
  • Wangst: Gainer suffers from this. In his defense, he was under Overfreeze at that moment.
  • The Woobie: I dare you to see Ana cry in Episode 7 and not feel sorry for her.
