• Ho Yay: Some reviewers suggested a Renly/Stafford pairing but the authors have said that it would not happen, not only because it's wrong but also because it would be out of character.
• Tear Jerker: Stafford is initially betrothed to Arya, but he falls in love with Sansa and eventually is forced to break numerous promises to Arya and leave her in King's Landing while escaping with Sansa. Given Arya's already low self-esteem, especially when comparing herself to Sansa...
