* KnightOfCerebus: The second minotaur the group fights as it does [[spoiler:kill Pauline and put Julie into a HeroicBSOD.]] The minotaur itself however doesn't seem like an important character otherwise.
* MoodWhiplash: The group travelling peacefully along at night while the stars and surroundings are beautiful and serene. They decide to stop in an abandoned barn to camp and find it quite dark in there. Julie uses a light spell to reveal [[NightmareFuel bodies hanging]] from the rafters. Then the bodies come to life, smile [[SlasherSmile quite evilly]] at them, and attack them.
* SceneryPorn: The comic looks to be done with a vector graphics program like Adobe Illustrator. This can allow for resizing graphics without losing detail. As a result, some of the city/area [[SplashPanel Splash Panels]] that show [[HiddenElfVillage Everwood]], [[PortTown Huckleton]], or [[EvilTowerOfOminousness Brian and Angelo's Castle]] can get quite detailed and intricate.
** As the [[ArtEvolution comic progressed]], the wilderness landscapes became more and more lush and detailed. Some might consider it a bit busy at times though...
