• Ensemble Dark Horse: Sisbell is immensely popular among the Japanese and Chinese reading audience, which is the most likely reason why the anime covered up to Volume 4 (when she is introduced) rather than the usual 2 or 3 volumes that a typical light novel's 12-Episode Anime adaptation does.
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • Iska and his team are a close-knit group that'll stand by each others' side no matter what, even if one of them becomes an Astral Mage or gets captured and then goes deep into Sovereignty territory to go on a rescue mission.
  • Iska and Alice's camaraderie and genuine affections towards each other is the main highlight of the series. Later when Alice learns that saving the world will cost her and the Astral Mages their powers, Alice asks Iska if he'll still be interested in her. Then, Iska says to her that whatever happens, Alice will always be Alice to him.
• Just Here for Godzilla: If the story is not what fans are drawn to, then it's the strong chemistry between Iska and Alice.
• The Woobie: Mismis's life is utterly ruined after being forcefully transformed into an Astral Mage and is now in danger of being hunted down by the Empire she loyally served when they find out. Thankfully, Iska, Nene and Jhin are there for her.
