  • Awesome Art: Almost every chapter will include a lot of visual metaphors that could complement the story. Be it glass shards, UFO or even a jungle of duality.
  • Anvilicious: A big foundation of the entire series.
    • In chapter 6 Tasuku initially believes Misora dresses the way they do because they're gay, but Misora points out they never said anything about liking boys. Tasuku then realizes his sexuality has nothing to do with wanting to be a woman, and Misora is the same way.
    • In the scene in Chapter 8 where Tasuku is looking up cases similar to Misora, Haruko points out that classifying Misora isn't nearly as important as letting them figure out on their own on what exactly they want. Indeed, Misora doesn't seem to care about whether they are trans or not, instead wanting to learn more about Tasuku and his experiences.
  • Woolseyism:
    • Anonymous's name in the original Japanese is "Dareka-san" (lit. "somebody"). Hachimitsu Scan's decision to translate this as "Anonymous" preserves her mysterious nature, while also sounding like a nickname someone would actually use in English.
    • The official French localization translates the title into Éclat(s) d'âme, which translates into “Soul Shards" while punning off the phrase état d’âme, or "State of Mind/Soul".
