  • Better on DVD: Each episode is about four minutes, and it aired on a weekly basis. Watching the series as a whole only takes a little less than an hour.
  • Fridge Brilliance: In episode 12, Wakasa leaves the tub and crawls toward the phone, only to remember upon reaching the phone that he doesn't know how to use a phone. Is this intended as a joke about the myth how fish have a ten-second memory?
  • Ho Yay: A whole lot throughout the series.
    • Tatsumi and Wakasa:
      • Wakasa loves getting close to Tatsumi and always insists that they bathe together.
      • During the first chapter, Tatsumi considers Wakasa as good-looking while touching him. Then when his hand slips due to the slime on his skin, Wakasa lets out a moan. Wakasa also seems embarrassed when Tatsumi touches his tail.
    • The way that Tatsumi and Takasu were reacting during the full-body massage made it sounded erotic, including Tatsumi blushing and Takasu asking him if it was starting to feel good.
    • Wakasa mentions that Takasu's massage was the first time that he was touched by someone.
    • Maki casually calling Tatsumi Wakasa's "girlfriend".
  • Moe: Wakasa and Tatsumi have their moments, especially when they're drawn in chibi form and when the latter blushes.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The page wherein Agari first shows Tatsumi his jaws full of razor-sharp teeth can be unnerving for someone who isn't expecting it.
  • The Scrappy: A lot of fans don't like Kasumi, mainly due to finding her Big Brother Attraction squicky.
  • Tearjerker: Episode 12 has a sad bit with Wakasa. When Tatsumi is gone longer than usual, Wakasa becomes increasingly lonely with his friend gone. It only gets worse when he starts drying out because he left the tub to call Tatsumi. Even the music stops when he slips on the trail of water and slime as if it acknowledges that Wakasa's situation isn't funny.
