- Harsher in Hindsight: The Reveal that the citizens of Wano and Zou are lifelong allies makes the beating Nami, Usopp, and Brook gave Luffy when he started mentioning Kin'emon less funny and actually unnecessary as the Straw Hats would've learned the truth earlier if they hadn't shut him up. Also Hilarious in Hindsight, depending on who you ask.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: When the Straw Hats learn that the samurai have reached Zou, Luffy excitedly comments that maybe that means there will be another party, with Nami deriding him, saying that the situation is actually serious. With The Reveal about the truth, it turns out that Luffy was right.
- Popular with Furries: Several of the Minks, but in particular, Carrot, Pedro, and Wanda. Milky, the reindeer mink, also has some fans due to a light Ship Tease with Chopper.
- Unexpected Character: Stelly, Sabo's brat of a step-brother, shows up during the montage of royals preparing for Reverie, being a newly-crowned king.
- Win Back the Crowd: After the long, drawn-out Dressosa Arc divided fans, many were happy to finally have a Breather Episode. The Straw Hats finally reunite, Sanji gets to do something after being stuck in comic relief since the New World started, many fans like the Mink tribe for their personalities, backstory, and design, Blackbeard's crew is shown to be dangerous (many found Burgess defeat by Sabo to be underwhelming), and there are many plot twists and revelations, offsetting the constant fight scenes that plagued Dressrosa. This is especially true for the anime, as the animation and padding issues that hit their nadir during the Dressrosa arc, giving it a glacial pace (especially when it came to fights, where blows were very slow to be traded and enemies got buffed just for the sake of lengthening fights), started to be solved once this arc began, and only kept improving from there.
