YMMV / 100% Wolf

• Adaptation Displacement: Good luck trying to find watchers of the movie who knew it was a book first.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Flasheart. It doesn't hurt that he's voiced by Jai Courtney.
• Narm: The werewolves crying during Flasheart's funeral is a bit hard to take seriously considering that despite being in their humanoid forms, they're emitting wolf howls throughout.
• Popular with Furries: Oh, yes.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Or rather, idea. Freddie being a poodle is of course played up for laughs because he’s reverted to the smaller more cutesy type, but the larger poodles were originally bred as hunting dogs. Had Freddie actually turned into one of the bigger breeds, not only would his fight with Hotspur as well as his acceptance of his poodle form be a lot less ridiculous, it would actually cause more meaningful tension between him and his family due to being portrayed as not only disposable, but dangerous. Not a very good look for the future pack leader, now is it?
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: It’s a little bit hard to feel sorry for Batty or root for her and Freddie’s friendship given how consistently nasty and ignorant she is towards him and what he’s telling her, complete with pinning the blame on him for “not” telling her the truth of his identity when it was her own fault in the first place she chose not to believe him.
