  • Anticlimax Boss: When AlphaCore finally reveals itself as the boss of Zone 8, it is pathetically easy to defeat, especially when compared to the brutal showdown that you just had with the sub-boss immediately prior. Thankfully, Zone 9, which is entirely a three-part boss fight against AlphaCore, makes up for it.
  • Awesome Music: The soundtrack of both versions. The Japanese version has Feeder's "Shade" as the main theme while the US version has "Otsegolation" by Static-X.
  • Game-Breaker: Your Limit Break, Viper Boost, is easily the most powerful attack in the entire game, even more so than the Wave-Motion Gun only seen in the opening cutscene. Viper Boost cloaks the Omega Boost mech in an invulnerable Battle Aura and proceeds to ram into every enemy on screen for a few seconds. It is capable of defeating almost every single boss with a single-use.
  • Most Wonderful Sound: The sound of activating Viper Boost, which is just the Omega Boost A.I. saying "Activating Viper Boost", accompanied by a short jingle.
  • That One Boss: Zone 8's Sub-Boss is significantly harder than its actual boss. A powerful mech that is very fond of lasers and spinning. As soon as you get its health low enough to where you think you might actually win, you find that it can repair itself. Oh, and you're timed. And you still have the actual Zone 8 boss when you do win, with the remaining time limit.
