  • Genius Bonus: One part of "Fugue State" briefly features the group singing in binary code. When translated, it spells out the word "HUG." Another part of the song has Toby sing out the link to a Youtube video where "the secret" is, singing "It's at H-t-t-p-s-colon-double-slash-y-o-u-t-u-dot-b-e-slash-d-capitalQ-w-4-w-9-capitalW-g-capitalX-c-capitalQ", The link to the video for Never Gonna Give You Up.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The show has some moments that are extremely intense, especially in the second half:
    • "Solo" starts off with Karly lamenting about her addiction to online dating, before saying "and when I do actually have sex with someone, it's usually like "wow! you watch a lot of porn!". It then becomes a brutal deconstruction of The Internet Is for Porn from Ed, talking about how people who look down on porn (even if they are supportive of sex work and sex positivity) are seen as "prude, religious conservatives", and how teenagers who don't understand the psychological complexities of porn are getting addicted, and how people look down on those who've kicked their porn addictions. Karly then says that the "porn dudes are always the ones that become such shits, the petty whiplash cruelty of a Manchild scorned." which is cut off by the men (pretending to be porn addicts) shaming her and insulting her. She insults them back, but openly wonders about the fear that she's radicalizing them, wondering if they're going to be the next "manifesto mass murderer". Ed then goes off into a disturbing monologue about the Incel community as the men start groaning and growling behind him.
Ed: There're these guys online, and they say that “The world is an all-encompassing blackpill that you constantly have to shove to the back corner of your mind.” There are these guys online and they say “We don’t get to fuck cuz we’re low status, introvert, ugly, awkward, outcast. And the Chad's and Stacy's of the world will never let us in! The Chad's and Stacy's just laugh at us!" There are these guys online and they say "It's US AGAINST THEM. MAKE YOUR MARK!" ...And I feel the pull of that.
