. - Even Better Sequel: To Stories Untold, No Code's previous experimental psychological thriller game. While Stories Untold has a large number of fans, it garnered quite a few criticisms for its final-act twist where the entire story turns out to have been the coma dreams of a drunk driver, which many felt robbed the game of its most interesting subplots. This game fully embraces the Surreal Horror of what is going on and leaves things on a much more interesting note, while also including a more detailed environment and a unique player interface.
- Unintentional Uncanny Valley: This is mostly evident with Emma Fisher. Emma's eyes have a flat, doll-like quality that is quite unnerving during her extreme closeups.
