YMMV / Not So Shoujo Love Story

• Adorkable: Hanna is hilariously inexperienced when it comes to love. Her attempts to impress and gain the attention of Rei end in disaster more often than not.
• Anvilicious: The comic makes it very clear that there is nothing wrong with being gay. Every character who raises issue with Rei and Hanna being together is antagonistic and one of the comic's big moments has Hanna call out the rampant homophobia of her classmates directly, who are immediately ashamed of their behavior and promise to do better in the future.
• Cliché Storm: For all that the comic makes fun of the clichés present in typical romance-stories, it often uses them itself, apart from one of the main characters being a lesbian and the frequent gross-out humor. Half the fun is figuring out which ones it'll subvert and which one's it'll violently embrace instead.
• Jerkass Woobie: Rei is as unpleasant as they come and doesn't do much to dissuade anyone from thinking of her as a dangerous delinquent. But deep inside she's incredibly lonely and longs for someone who understands her. When she believes she finally found that someone in Hansum, fate seems determined to make her fail every time she tries to get his attention.
• The Woobie: Hanna. She might be at the top of her school's food-chain, but she has no actual friends. Her crush is in love with someone else and hates her guts. Additionally, her teachers pressure her into upholding the school's reputation through her good grades and completely fail to notice that she's being bullied- and given the way they treat her, it's not sure they would care even if they did.
