• Hilarious in Hindsight: The boys are surprised how a technologically very advanced game could fit in such a small space on a floppy disk, and is the sign that the game is not what it appears. In the 2010s, this is now old hat. However, it is specified that the game barely occupies a few kilobits.
• Sequelitis: Many remember fondly the original book. The sequel ones? Few care about these. Characters go through Flanderization, messages become preachy and the writing is more on-the-nose about events. Their Sequel Gap didn't help matters.
