YMMV / Negadon: The Monster from Mars

• Narm: To be honest, the monster looks like a giant umbrella...
• Narm Charm: Negadon's design might look somewhat silly, but as the film is an intentional Genre Throwback to old kaiju films with all their trappings, it only adds to the charm for some. The fact that it looks genuinely alien and bizarre helps a lot.
• Special Effect Failure: Subverted- the film intentionally imitates the old Kaiju movies complete with their bad SFX, but the movie itself is very detailed; even its human characters manage to avoid the Unintentional Uncanny Valley for the most part.
• Tear Jerker: Naraki's Heroic Sacrifice is predictable, but still very moving.
• The Woobie: Narasaki.
