  • Awesome Music: Plenty. The Nocturnal Silence is obvious, but there's also Darkside, The Third Antichrist, Hrimthursum and more.
  • Epic Riff: Too many to count. The tremolo riff from "Awakening..." is arguably the most iconic.
  • Evil Is Cool: Satan, Hell, occultism, blasphemy, darkness, death - it's all here, and it's awesome.
  • First Installment Wins: The Nocturnal Silence is the band's most revered album by far.
  • Overshadowed by Controversy: Even months after it came out, Womb of Lilithu was far more remembered for the fact that Tobias SidegĂ„rd was fired from the group after a domestic violence conviction days before its release than the actual music. Just about every non-professional review of the album mentions the case in some way.
  • Win Back the Crowd: While few fans would have called their later output bad, general consensus was it was good, but not amazing. One massive lineup shift later, and Mark of the Necrogram was warmly welcomed as their best in a very long time, if not since The Nocturnal Silence, and Dawn of the Damned continued the trend by being another well-received release.
