YMMV / Near Death

Go To

  • Breather Level: After you collect the radar dish for your vehicle, the trip back down is a lot more bearable, as the weather calms down and makes things easier to see while also taking away the harsh winds. You can still freeze, of course, but after a whole game of things steadily getting worse, having it return to how it was at the start is outright relieving.
  • Hell Is That Noise: The sound of rushing wind. You might start tuning it out at first, but you'll soon notice it when you enter what you think is a safe and sealed room, only to still hear it, meaning one of the windows is broken or a door is open, and you're still at risk of freezing to death.
  • That One Sidequest: Fixing the third generator is worth it, but it takes a ton of effort. In particular, a critical replacement part can only be found in a very far away building, you have to lug the thing all the way to the Power installation, and it's so heavy and clunky that the Pilot can only drag it.
